CEGEP Limoilou fine crafts 2013 graduate students’ exhibition
Identités will take place at Centre MATERIA from May 31 to June 23, 2013. It celebrates the passage of six graduate students, in ceramics and textile design techniques, towards their professional artistic life and production.
Presented by Centre MATERIA and the Maison des métiers d’art de Québec
Monia Bouchard, Émilie Bourgault, Ophélie Cuillerier, Lucie Gagnon, Marie-Michèle B.Lemaire and Isabelle Prévost, Cégep Limoilou graduates, will show works produced during their apprenticeship in ceramics and textile design at the Maison des métiers d'art de Québec. Infused with the unique artisan’ personality, these works transcend the utilitarian function as well as the purely aesthetic dimension. This exhibition is also a testimony to the six artists’ dedication.
The opening reception, Friday April 12, 5 pm at Centre MATERIA, is under the presidency of Mr. Michel Côté, director of Musée de la civilisation à Québec. Awards will be given and honorable mentions unveiled to acknowledge the excellence of the works and artistic achievement of the young artists.
